At International Academy of Beauty we feel that your education doesn't have to stay just in the classroom. We encourage all of our students to attend advanced educational workshops, known as the Signature Series Workshops, offered throughout the year. These events allow students and graduates to work hands-on with skilled industry professionals while sharpening their skills in the basics to the advanced! Several workshops offered throughout the year include: l Ethnic Hairstyling and Relaxing l Coloring l Cutting l Up-do's and Styling of both Men's and Women's hair l Trend Cutting l Equipment Demonstrations Students and graduates are also invited to attend the Educational Forum / Hair Show / Career Fair sponsored by the Peter Hantz Company, ITS Academy Inc., Olympus Inc. and IABC Inc. Each year guest artists and sponsor companies from all around the country are invited to participate in this exciting event. The sponsors and guests provide on and off stage demonstrations of some of the latest trends and designs in cut and color currently in the industry! Some of our major sponsors that have attended our Educational Forum included Toni & Guy, Great Clips, Style America, JCPenneys, Bonika Shears, SmartStyle, MasterCuts, and ProCuts. Another huge part of the Educational Forum each year is the Student Competition. Each student team is given the challenge of creating their own unique design of the hair, make-up and attire for their model in a time frame of 55 minutes.
